getting quite a bit of money saved up right now, what would be a good light duty 4x4? and no Jason, I won't take your tracker... LOL. but I was thinking a mid 90's jeep Cherokee? or like a 96Tacoma xtracab? something of that nature...

you wont find a tacoma of any year for cheap unless it dont have a title.those are indestrucks you cant kill them. Get like the Jeep Wagonier or a Jeep Commander or a Jeep Scrambler theres all sorts of cool not like everyone elses jeep jeeps you can get.i was thinking of buying an older 2 door 2 seater scrambler.

Cherokees usually have 4x4 plus they're easy to find parts for. plus I got a friend who can hook me up with some good shit if I buy a jeep cherokee. he has a parts jeep in his driveway

they are but their steering is notorisusly weak tho. gorocking or mudding and there bound to get hung up and destroyed. I think 82 was the best year for a good cherokee steering linkage. Get the good axels and get a Laredo with a V8 youll never get stuck and you have the better axels and steering linkages

Man the mid-80's cherokees are known to be problematic. the i6 ingine is known to overheat. I don't go rocking or mudding. I'll be hitting the beach.

only because the gearing in the I6 axels were way too steep.the engine and trans ciuldnt take it and so theyd overheat and die. but the 82 Laredo is the best. get the V8 and you wont regret it

If I find that for under 2k, I might get one. otherwise, fuck it. I'm also thinking of getting a 4runner, and lowballing a guy at the front of my neighborhood.
