This summer I'm gonna

be able to work on the beamer. I'm gonna be doing a/c work with my sisters fiancee, so I'll be pulling in like $600 a week from what I've heard. Here's what I wanna do, and I'm gonna also ask for preformance suggestions(I'll single out the areas):

For performance:

Silverline Exhaust System
K&N Air Filter
Computer chip
Differential(lower gear ratio for more torque)

For suspension/handling:

M5 shocks
Racing Dynamic's Sway bars
BFG GForce tires

For looks:

paint job(volcano red)
rims
Interior work(new everything, even guages)


Here's where I want some help:
Audio-I have a 12' sub from JL Audio, and an MTX 752 blue thunder amp. I need speakers and a sick head unit.

Lighting-Should I use the HID's? it's like what's on the new BMW's...

just scrap the beamers motor and trans,go to a junkyard and find an LT1 and mabe a tk500 or a four on the floor. a TF would work real nice with it too. and LT1s are in most F-Body cars i think 1980s and up. then its the LS series in mid 90s.

performace? upgrade the fuel rail and injectors.go with a all AN kit. cold air intake or a ram air intake. do a wet NOS kit.lowering kit with airbags in the back.MSD igeniton BOSCH +4 plugs 10mm race wires Optima Yellow top battery Mzier or MSD Starter etc.

LED kits in the tail
get the oldish M5 lights the round ones. Theyd look nice.

as for audio Alpine is the BEST shit you can get. but to play you gotta pay. I have a Dual head and rears and they sound nice.

but for your sub go to JCW and get the Pyle Drivers.4000 watts of ass thumping power.

lol i don't wanna kill it. i wanna keep it simple. I'm gonna save money this summer and possibly get another beamer. idk anymore. i'm gonna go light on this one, I'll sell it in legal for for $2k.

an LT1 is simple! a whole helliva lot more siple than that wierd ass forigen garbage.

Then if you dont want that find a junked newer M5. They have a shit load of good parts in them. Transmissions are nice motors purr real well.

bring it up here and ill give ya 1500 flat for it.

Dude I wanna keep it as a beamer. But I'm not gonna completely rebuild it. Might fix a few things, and sell it at the end of the summer if I find a nicer car I can afford.

Nah I'm just not rich enough to turn it into a chevy. if i wanted a chevy, dont you think id have one by now? lol... I'm gonna get the same car but the nexy body style up. between 89 and 95... goin for a 535i pref. a standard. THATS gonna be my keeper.

BMWs are nice. Almost bought one myself a 77.Kinda like yours. Needed a rebuild on the carbs for 1350.
